Colorado Avalanche

The Avalanche cancelled practice on Wednesday after a positive test for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

The team said the one person is in isolation while all other staff and players have tested negative at this time.

Colorado is scheduled to face the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night.

 


Winnipeg Jets

Laurent Brossoit will start Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators.

The 28-year-old. who last started on March 27, has a 5-3 record with a .914 save percentage and a 2.63 goals-against average. 

 


Ottawa Senators

Matt Murray is poised to make his first start since March 10 after being the first goaltender off the ice during Wednesday's skate.

Jacob Bernard-Docker and Shane Pinto will not make their NHL debuts on Wednesday against the Jets.

 


Montreal Canadiens 

Jake Allen will make his fifth straight start in net Wednesday against the Calgary Flames.

Carey Price did skate for roughly 30 minutes on Wednesday, but will not dress against the Flames. He has been out since last week with a lower-body injury, leaving Jake Allen to start each of the team's past four games.

The 33-year-old has a 12-6-5 record this season with a 2.66 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage.

Defenceman Ben Chiarot skated with the team for the first time since fracturing his right hand on March 10.

Chiarot did not, however, skate in the top 6 as the team did line rushes. Joel Armia will make his return to the lineup, with head coach Dominique Ducharme stating the winger is 100 per cent after contracting COVID-19 last month.


Detroit Red Wings

Jakub Vrana and Richard Panik joined the Red Wings for practice on Wednesday after being traded to the team by the Washington Capitals at Monday's deadline.
