Will Smith will be king of the courts this fall when Williams’ sister’s biopic ‘King Richard’ releases this fall. Smith stars as their father, Richard, who overcame hardships and a tough life to create the tennis icons known as the Williams sisters.

Yesterday Warner Bros. studios released the poster and trailer for the anticipated movie. Smith also shared the trailer on his Instagram:

As well as some words about how he feels about portraying the famous father.

“One of the greatest honors as an actor is to be able to celebrate someone’s legacy while they’re still here creating it. I’ve gotten to do it a few times in my career playing @ceoofhappyness and @muhammadali, and every time it’s a fulfilling and expansive experience beyond compare,” Smith wrote.

Richard taught the sisters on the public courts of Compton, California after fighting people who disliked the sport and didn’t want the family to practice. He also overcame personal battles, skepticism, and the neighbourhood known for stories provided by artists such as NWA, Kendrick Lamar, and the movie ‘Boyz in the Hood.’ Despite this, Richard wrote a 78-page plan to grow his two children into tennis stars.

The movie arrives in theaters on November 19.
