LeBron James' I Promise documentary, following the first year of his Akron elementary school of the same name, has released a new trailer through YouTube Originals.

The trailer features interviews and behind-the-scenes shots featuring students, staff and others, describing the institutional hurdles in traditional schools within low-income communities. James founded the I Promise school in 2018 to support youth in his hometown of Akron through education and the school system.

James and his longtime business partner Maverick Carter are executive producers on the film, as well as Jamal Henderson, Philip Byron, Nicholas Lopez, Marc Levin, Dan Levin, Catherine Cyr and Josh Gold.

I Promise releases through YouTube Originals on September 28.
