Jakub Brabenec's goal and assist paced the Charlottetown Islanders to a 4-1 win over the host Drummondville Voltigeurs in the QMJHL on Wednesday.

In the night's other two games, the Moncton Wildcats edged the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-4 in a shootout and the Rimouski Oceanic got by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 5-4.

Charlottetown goaltender Oliver Satny stopped 28 or 29 shots for the win. Drummondville counterpart Francesco Lapenna made 30 saves in the loss.

Oscar Plandowski, Drew Elliott and Patrick Guay also scored for the Islanders, who top the Eastern Conference at 9-4-1-0.

Charles-Antoine Dumont replied for Drummondville (6-5-2-0).

MONCTON 5 BAIE-COMEAU 4

Vincent Labelle and Brooklyn Kalmikov both scored shootout goals for Moncton, while the Drakkar mustered just one from Justin Sullivan.

Labelle and Kalmikov also scored in regulation time.

CAPE BRETON 4 RIMOUSKI 5

Julian Beland scored the third-period winner for the Oceanic at 14:46.

Beland had two goals and an assist. Assistant captain Xavier Cormier contributed a goal and three assists to the win.
