On Tuesday, Marvel Studios released the second theatrical trailer for the upcoming film Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring Tom Holland in the titular role.

The trailer includes notable appearances from other characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as well as previous Spider-Man films, including Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Electro (Jamie Foxx).

Spider-Man: No Way Home is expected to focus on the reveal of Spider-Man’s identity as Peter Parker as well as the concept of the ‘multiverse’ explored in other MCU properties. There has been speculation that previous versions of Spider-Man in film played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would appear in the film; the trailer doesn’t confirm those rumours, but does return characters from their respective film franchises.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is scheduled for release on December 17, 2021. It will directly lead into Marvel Studios’ next film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is currently set for a May 6 release date.
