ALBANY, N.Y. — Charlie Kitchen led the way with two goals and the Albany Firewolves won 8-6 to hand the Halifax Thunderbirds their first loss of the NLL season Saturday.

Tony Malcom, Ryan Benesch, Joe Resetarits, Jacob Ruest, Nick Chaykowsky and Andrew Kew scored singles for the Firewolves (3-2). Doug Jamieson stopped 46 shots.

The Thunderbirds dropped to 3-1. The Buffalo Bandits (4-0) remain the only undefeated team in the NLL this season.

Chris Boushy and Austin Shanks had two goals and one assist apiece for Halifax. Eric Fannell and Colton Armstrong also scored while Warren Hill made 33 saves.

Halifax was down 6-1 at halftime.

Both teams were 1 for 5 with the man advantage.
