(SportsNetwork.com) - Cincinnati Reds right-hander Homer Bailey aims to continue his domination of the Chicago Cubs when the teams continue their three-game set tonight at Wrigley Field.

The Reds have won his last 10 starts against the Cubs, during which time Bailey is 7-0 with a 3.08 ERA. His last defeat to them came May 7, 2010. He's 8-2 with a 4.16 ERA in 14 career games versus the Cubs.

Not only has Bailey thrived against the Cubs, but he's been on target the last month as evidenced by a 4-0 record over his last six starts. His last defeat came May 17 at Philadelphia.

Jake Arrieta counters for the Cubs. The righty is 2-0 over his last four starts and has tossed seven frames in each of his previous two outings, both victories. He's fanned 20 and walked just two over his last two appearances. Arrieta piled up a career-high 11 strikeouts at Miami last Wednesday.

This will be Arrieta's first career appearance against the Reds.

Last night, Billy Hamilton drove in the go-ahead run and Devin Mesoraco added a game-sealing grand slam in the ninth inning as the Reds downed the Cubs, 6-1.

The Reds went hitless over five straight innings before Chris Heisey, who was mired in an 0-for-16 slump, stepped in as a pinch-hitter with two outs in the ninth and blooped a single to right.

Heisey stole second to get into scoring position, and Hamilton's dribbler up the middle snuck past a diving Starlin Castro to break a 1-1 tie.

A single and walk loaded the bases for Mesoraco, who cleared the netting over the wall in left-center for a clinching slam that sent the Reds over .500 (38-37) for the first time all season. Mesoraco, who worked two walks and was hit by a pitch twice, has three career grand slams and has homered in four straight games.

Todd Frazier went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI, while Alfredo Simon was terrific in another quality start for Cincinnati, which has won three straight and six of its last eight. Simon threw seven innings of one-run ball.

"To do what he's done this year has been spectacular," Reds manager Bryan Price said of Simon.

Hector Rondon (1-2), who had given up seven earned runs in 27 appearances coming into the opener of this three-game series, surrendered all five runs in the ninth to take the loss, Chicago's third straight.

Cincinnati has won 18 of its last 20 at Wrigley Field.
