Bears place Briggs on the reserve/injured list because of groin injury
The Chicago Bears placed linebacker Lance Briggs on the reserve/injured list Friday because of a groin injury. Briggs has 63 tackles, including 2 1/2 tackles, and an interception, a forced fumble, two pass breakups and a quarterback pressure this season.

The seven-time Pro Bowl player is in his 12th season in the NFL, all with the Bears.
