LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Chicago Bears have signed linebacker Darryl Sharpton to a one-year contract and reached an injury settlement with fullback Tony Fiammetta.

The moves were announced on Thursday.

Sharpton appeared in 42 games with 19 starts for Houston from 2010 to 2013. He signed with Washington in the off-season but got placed on injured reserve after he suffered a high-ankle sprain late in camp. The Redskins released Sharpton this week.

Fiammetta has been dealing with a hamstring injury.
