COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated defenceman Cody Goloubef off injured reserve and have loaned him on a conditioning assignment to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The club also assigned left wing Kerby Rychel to Springfield.

Goloubef injured a knee on Nov. 1 in a game at New Jersey. The 24-year-old was Columbus' second pick, 37th overall, in the 2008 NHL draft.

The 20-year-old Rychel, Columbus' second first-round pick in the 2013 draft, had three assists in four games with the Blue Jackets this year. He spent the past four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League.
