Tampa Bay Lightning assistant general manager Pat Verbeek will be following Steve Yzerman to Detroit, TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie reported.

Verbeek's tenure with the Lightning coincided with Yzerman's until the point Yzerman left the organization ahead of last season. He had been with the Lightning since the 2010 season and carried the title of assistant GM since the 2011 season.

Prior to his time with the Lightning, Verbeek was a pro scout for the Red Wings for four seasons.

While Verbeek will join Yzerman in Detroit, McKenzie reported Jamie Pushor, Stacy Roest, and Al Murray will all stay with the Lightning. The Lightning also announced new titles for the three executive staff members, as well as announcing former Lightning forward Mathieu Darche as director of hockey operations.
