The Cleveland Browns have acquired punter Andy Lee from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2017 seventh-round pick.

Lee, a three-time Pro Bowler, joins the Browns after spending 11 seasons with the 49ers since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2004 NFL Draft.

The 32-year-old averaged 46.8 yards per punt last season across 72 punts.

The 49ers selected punter Bradley Pinion in the fifth round of May's NFL Draft, making Lee expendable.

Once the trade was completed, the Browns released punter Spencer Lanning, who averaged 43.8 yards per punt last year. He had been with the Browns since 2013.
