The New Jersey Devils have traded forward Marcus Johansson to the Boston Bruins for a 2019 second-round pick and a fourth-round pick in 2020.

The 28-year-old has 12 goals and 27 points in 48 games this season.

Johansson joined the Devils ahead of the 2017-18 season after the team acquired him in a trade with the Washington Capitals. The Swedish native spent the first seven seasons of his career with the Capitals, who drafted him 24th overall in the 2009 draft.

He has 119 goals and 331 points in 578 games over the course of his career.

Johansson is currently slated to become an unrestricted free agent in July and carries a cap hit of approximately $4.6 million.
