The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Daniel Audette to a three-year, entry-level contract on Friday.

The Canadiens drafted the 19-year-old in the fifth round of the 2014 NHL draft.

Audette led the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Sherbrooke Phoenix last season with 77 points (29 goals, 44 assists) in 60 regular season games.

Fourteen of Audette's goals were on the power play and five were game winners.

The Buffalo, N.Y., native added two goals and four assists in six post-season games.
