BELLEVILLE, Ont. — Michael Carcone's goal at the 13:56 mark of the second period was the eventual winner as the Toronto Marlies held on for a 3-2 win over the Belleville Senators on Wednesday in American Hockey League action.

Adam Brooks and Mason Marchment also scored for the Marlies (39-23-12), the AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kasimir Kaskisuo made 25 saves for the win.

Joseph LaBate and Jack Rodewald supplied the offence for Belleville (36-30-8), the minor league club of the Ottawa Senators.

Marcus Hogberg stopped 26 shots in net.

Toronto could not score on its three power plays and the Senators were 1 for 4 with the man advantage.
