The NHL Department of Player Safety has fined Winnipeg Jets defenceman Ben Chiarot $3,763.44, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for cross-checking Arizona Coyotes forward Nick Cousins.

Chiarot was assessed a two-minute minor penalty after he cross-checked Cousins in the second period of the Jet's 4-1 loss to the Coyotes on Sunday.

Chiarot has four goals and 10 assists in 58 games this season.
