LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The Los Angeles Clippers have signed guard Dahntay Jones for the remainder of the season.

The Clippers announced the decision Tuesday.

The 34-year-old veteran has played in nine games for the Clippers, who signed him to consecutive 10-day contracts last month out of the D-League. He is averaging 0.4 points in 3.2 minutes per game.

The Clippers are the seventh NBA team for Jones, who has also suited up for Memphis, Sacramento, Denver, Indiana, Dallas and Atlanta.

Jones has made minimal contributions on the court, but Clippers coach Doc Rivers praises his leadership in practice and his attitude on the bench during games.

The Clippers' eight-game road trip continues Thursday in Cleveland.
