Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has been fined $15,000 for publicly criticizing the officiating in Thursday’s Clippers-Rockets game, the league announced Friday.

Rivers criticized the refs while addressing the media postgame.

Rivers is in sixth season as coach of the Clippers. He served as team president from June of 2014 until he gave up the position this past off-season. Speculation among pundits who cover team is that the Clippers and Rivers could very well part ways at season's end.

The team currently sits ninth place in the Western Conference with a record of 37-30. They have failed to advance past the first round of the playoffs the past two seasons.
