The Edmonton Oilers were informed by the AHL that forward Mitch Callahan has been suspended 20 games for violating the terms of the AHL/PHPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program.

He will be eligible to return on Apr. 11.

"The Edmonton Oilers organization supports the AHL/PHPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program and respects the decision to suspend Mitch Callahan," said Oilers President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Peter Chiarelli in a team release.

In 45 games so far this season, Callahan has two goals and seven assists.
