TORONTO — The Canadian Women's Hockey League is partnering with the Toronto Maple Leafs to stage its two marquee events this season.

The CWHL announced Thursday that it will hold the 2019 all-star game at Scotiabank Arena and the Clarkson Cup final at Coca-Cola Coliseum. It's the second year in row the Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment venues will play host to the events.

The all-star game, being played at Scotiabank Arena for the fourth consecutive time, is on Jan. 20. The Clarkson Cup final will take place on March 24.

"We're so excited to bring the world's best female hockey players to Toronto, where all sports fans will have the opportunity to witness the world's top talent in one place," CWHL interim commissioner Jayna Hefford said in a release. "The Toronto Maple Leafs have been invaluable to our development as we continue to set the standard for professional women's hockey."

The six-team CWHL features teams in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Markham, Ont., Shenzhen, China and Worcester, Mass.

"The Toronto Maple Leafs are proud partners of the CWHL and are committed to the continued development of women's hockey," Leafs president Brendan Shanahan said in a statement. "The CWHL all-star game and Clarkson Cup final are great opportunities for star players to showcase their skills and bring new fans to the league and women's hockey in Canada."
