Following Friday afternoon's news conference where Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri apologized to DeMar DeRozan for a "gap in communication," the former Raptor forward appeared to post a response on Instagram.

DeRozan, who was dealt to the San Antonio Spurs for superstar Kawhi Leonard on Wednesday, posted a face palm emoji to his Instagram story.

On Wednesday, when reports of DeRozan's departure started to become clearer, the 28-year-old posted messages to his story that implied he was told that he would not be traded.

Ujiri said he wished he handled the DeRozan situation better, but wouldn't go into specifics of what conversations he had with the four-time All-Star.

"If there was a miscommunication there I do apologize to him and his family," Ujiri said on Friday. "That's not what I meant."
