BRADENTON, Fla. — Zakaria Diallo and Harry Novillo scored late in the second half to power the Montreal Impact to a 2-0 win over Nashville SC on Wednesday in MLS pre-season action.

It was Montreal's second exhibition game. The MLS regular season begins next month.

Nashville plays in the United Soccer League.

Diallo put the Impact on the board in the 71st minute with a low, powerful drive that beat the Nashville goalkeeper to his right.

Montreal doubled its lead in the 80th minute, when Ken Krolicki sent a powerful cross for Novillo inside the box. He beat the goalkeeper to his right once again.

The Impact had a few opportunities in the first half, including one from Diallo in the 23rd minute but he couldn't direct his header on target.

"There is a lot to take out of these 90 minutes of play," said Impact head coach Remi Garde. "It's always better to be able to continue working while earning wins as well. We were able to showcase what we have been practising on the training pitch, individually and collectively."

Garde brought on 10 new players after half-time, replacing everyone except for Diallo.

Novillo had a chance to score in the 57th minute but his volley flew over the bar.
