Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson left Saturday's game against the Detroit Tigers early with what the team announced as 'dehydration.'

Donaldson, who dealt with a sore throwing shoulder early in Spring Training, was forced to make an awkward throw across the diamond from third base at the top of the first inning and appeared to be in some discomfort when he left the game.

A team spokesman added that Donaldson was only scheduled for a couple of at-bats on Saturday.

Donaldson has made just three starts at third base this spring. He went 1-3 with an RBI on Friday against the Baltimore and 1-for-1 with a walk in two plate appearances on Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves.
