The Anaheim Ducks placed forward Dany Heatley on waivers Monday.

Heatley, 33, signed a one-year contract worth $1 million over the summer with the Ducks, but has failed to produce any offence this season.

The former second overall pick has zero points in six games for Anaheim. He's also played two games with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Heatley has 372 goals and 419 assists in 869 career games with the Atlanta Thrashers, Ottawa Senators, San Jose Sharks, Minnesota Wild, and the Ducks.

Also placed on waivers on Monday were Magnus Paajarvi (Blues), Matt Hackett (Sabres), and Steve Pinizzotto (Oilers).

The Edmonton Oilers claimed Matt Fraser off waivers from the Boston Bruins, while Nashville's Derek Roy cleared waivers and was assigned to Milwaukee (AHL).
