Defensive end Chris Long announced on Pardon My Take he will return to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles next season.

The 32-year-old was reportedly contemplating retirement this off-season, but with Thursday's announcement he will return to fulfill the second year of a two-year, $4.5 million deal he signed with the team ahead of last season.

Long played in all 16 regular season games for the Eagles last season, making one start, and finishing with 20 tackles and five sacks.

The 10-year NFL veteran, who was drafted second overall in 2008, has 237 tackles and 63.5 sacks in 146 career games split between the Eagles, New England Patriots, and St. Louis Rams.
