The Edmonton Eskimos have extended the contracts of five players, inking offensive lineman Colin Kelly, long snapper Ryan King, defensive back Forrest Hightower, fullback Calvin McCarty and wide receiver Kenny Stafford to new deals.

Kelly, signed through the 2020 season, appeared in 18 games, all starts, last season with the Eskimos at the right tackle position.  He has also appeared with the Ottawa Redblacks over the course of his 56 game CFL career.

King has been extended through the 2021 season and picked up four special teams tackles in 18 games last season.

Hightower’s new deal runs through the 2019 season, after contributing three interceptions and 26 tackles in 11 games last season.

McCarty, also inked through 2019, is the longest active serving Eskimos player.  Last season he has 14 receptions for 110 yards in 18 games.

Stafford, signed through 2020, started 17 games for the Eskimos in 2018 where he caught 55 passes for 781 yards for two touchdowns.

King, McCarty and Stafford were all members of the Eskimos' 2015 Grey Cup championship team.
