The Edmonton Eskimos have re-signed running back Travon Van through the 2018 season, giving the team three international running backs for next season.

Van joins John White, who re-signed with the team Thursday, and CJ Gable, who impressed down the stretch after being acquired from the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

The 26-year-old Van played in just six games for the Eskimos last season after battling injuries, finishing with 71 carries for 283 yards and three touchdowns.

Van spent the first two seasons of his CFL career with the Ottawa Redblacks, and has 152 carries for 705 yards and five touchdowns in 18 career games.
