Edmonton Eskimos offensive coordinator and receivers coach Carson Walch is leaving the team to join the Philadelphia Eagles' coaching staff as their assistant wide receivers coach.

The team confirmed the move, which was originally reported by Davis Sanchez, on Monday.

Walch has been with the Eskimos for the past two seasons. He began as the team's receivers coach and passing game coordinator in 2016.

Walch started his coaching career in the college ranks in the US before joining Marc Trestman's staff in Montreal in 2010. He followed Trestman to the Chicago Bears from 2013-14 before returning to the college ranks for a season and then joining the Eskimos.
