FIFA has officially announced that Crypto.com will serve as an official sponsor for this year’s 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The cryptocurrency giant will be the exclusive trading platform for the global tournament, which runs from November 21 to December 18. The new agreement will see Crypto.com's branding featured prominently across tournament venues and provide its customers with opportunities to attend matches and win prizes.

“Crypto.com has already demonstrated a commitment to supporting top-tier teams and leagues, major events and iconic venues across the world, and there is no platform bigger, or with a greater reach and cultural impact than FIFA’s global platform of football,” said FIFA Chief Commercial Officer Kay Madati in a statement. “We are delighted to have a global brand like Crypto.com join us as a sponsor of the exciting and groundbreaking FIFA World Cup in Qatar, ultimately helping to grow our beautiful game on a global scale.”

This new partnership with FIFA is Crypto.com’s latest investment in professional sports. More recently, the company also acquired naming rights to the Staples Center, home of the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers as well as the NHL’s Kings. Crypto.com has also established partnerships with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Formula 1 in 2021.
