Pencil in France as the favourites for the 2022 World Cup, at least according to bookmakers.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup champions have been named by Bodog as 5/1 favourites for the next tournament which will be held in Qatar. Bovada Official has France opening as the +500 favorite.

Led by manager Didier Deschamps, France is well-stocked with young players who will be well in their prime, including 25-year-old Paul Pogba and 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe.

Only World Champion Brazil in 1970 (25 years, nine months) won the World Cup with a younger squad than France did in 2018 (25 years, 10 months).

Bodog has Brazil as the next favourite to win it all at 7/1, followed by Spain (15/2), Germany (8/1) and Belgium (11/1).
