METAIRIE, La. - New Orleans Pelicans point guard Jrue Holiday has re-aggravated his lower right leg injury and is not scheduled to be re-evaluated for an additional three weeks, the club announced Wednesday.

"It's a setback for him and for us," Pelicans coach Monty Williams said, adding that Holiday had been on track to return this weekend until he felt some pain during some "light stuff" on the court. "I just feel bad for Jrue."

Anthony Davis, who has a sprained right shoulder, and Ryan Anderson, who has a sore right elbow, both remain listed as day-to-day, but both said they aim to return for New Orleans' game Friday night in Orlando. Davis and Anderson participated in a non-contact practice on Wednesday and are expected to participate in a regular practice on Thursday.

Holiday, who has averaged 15.2 points and 7.1 assists in 37 games this season, has not played since Jan. 12, missing 16 games since. Holiday also missed 48 games last season, when he had surgery to repair a similar injury on the same leg.

The Pelicans (27-26) are 1 1/2 games behind Phoenix for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

With Holiday out of the lineup, Tyreke Evans has moved from small forward to point guard, while forward Dante Cunningham has joined the starting lineup.

When Davis was healthy, that lineup went 9-4.

"We played without Jrue for a month, so nothing is going to change," Davis said.

Davis hurt his shoulder during the first half of a loss to Chicago on March 7. The Pelicans then lost the next two games Davis missed last week before the All-Star break.

Davis has averaged 24.5 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.7 blocks, which leads the team in all three categories. Because he wanted to ensure he was healthy for the Pelicans' final stretch, he chose not to play in Sunday's All-Star game, to which he was voted as a Western Conference starter.

New Orleans is 2-5 without Davis this season.

Anderson has averaged 14.9 points and 5.2 rebounds. He also has missed the past two games.

Notes: The Pelicans signed guard Toney Douglas to a second 10-day contract. He has played in three games, averaging nine points, four assists and 22 minutes.
