SHAWINIGAN, Que. — The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies are on the verge of history.

Rafael Harvey-Pinard had a hat trick as the Huskies routed the Shawinigan Cataractes 8-3 on Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Rouyn-Noranda hasn't lost a game in all of 2019 and tied the 1973-74 Sorel Eperviers for the longest win streak in QMJHL history at 25 games.

The Huskies need to win just three of their final five games to match the single-season wins record of 58 jointly held by the '73-74 Eperviers, Saint John Sea Dogs (2010-11), Halifax Mooseheads (2012-13) and Trois-Rivieres Draveurs (1978-79).

Noah Dobson put away the winner for the Huskies (55-7-1) at 4:43 of the second period. Felix Bibeau, Justin Bergeron, Alex Beaucage and Peter Abbandonato rounded out the attack as Zachary Emond made 12 saves for the win..

Mavrik Bourque had a pair of goals for Shawinigan (14-45-4) and Jan Drozg also scored.

Antoine Coulombe combined with Justin Blanchette for 49 saves for the Cataractes.

Rouyn-Noranda did not score on its one power play and Shawinigan was 1 for 3 with the man advantage.



CHARLOTTETOWN — Brett Budgell scored the shootout winner as the Islanders slipped past Val-d'Or.

Jordan Maher and Zachary Beauregard had goals in regulation time for Charlottetown (36-20-7).

Ivan Kozlov and Maxence Guenette scored for the Foreurs (22-35-6).



MONCTON, N.B. _ The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles beat the Moncton Wildcats 3-3 in a shoot out in Moncton on Wednesday evening.

Egor Sokolov, Mitchell Balmas and Shaun Miller scored for the Screaming Eagles.

Jakob Pelletier, Mika Cyr and Dylan Seitz scored for the Wildcats.

Sokolov scored in the shootout for Cape Breton. undefined scored in the shootout for Moncton.

The Wildcats (34-20-4-5) went 1-for-3 on the power play. The Screaming Eagles (37-21-1-4) went 1-for-2 with the man advantage.



SHERBROOKE, Que. — Etienne Verrette and Edouard St-Laurent scored in the shootout as Quebec topped the Phoenix.

Pier-Olivier Lacombe, Philipp Kurashev, Brandon Frattaroli and Matthew Grouchy scored for the Remparts (27-24-12).

Taro Jentzsch had a pair of goals for Sherbrooke (34-25-4), while Felix Robert and Patrick Guay chipped in as well.



DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Yaroslav Alexeyev had the game-winning goal at 11:47 of the third period as Baie-Comeau eked out a win over the Voltigeurs.

Ethan Crossman and Samuel L'Italien had the other goals for the Drakkar (45-14-4).

Charles-Edouard Drouin and Felix Lauzon scored for Drummondville (48-12-3).



VICTORIAVILLE, Que. — Edouard Ouellet struck twice, including the winner, as the Tigres sank Blainville-Boisbriand.

Simon Lafrance and Vincent Sevigny also scored for Victoriaville (29-30-5).

Cole Fraser was the lone scorer for the Armada (23-28-2).
