Calgary Flames

The Flames announced they have recalled goaltender Jon Gillies from the AHL's Abbotsford Heat on an emergency basis. Starting goaltender Mike Smith will not be available for Tuesday's game against the Boston Bruins due to a groin injury suffered on Sunday.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Defenceman Roman Polak took part in the morning skate on Monday and is likely to draw back into the lineup for the Leafs when they play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight. Polak was a healthy scratch on Saturday against the Ottawa Senators.

Montreal Canadiens

According to TSN's John Lu, Phillip Danault took part in his first full practice with the team since suffering a concussion on Jan. 13 and plans to travel with the team for their upcoming four-game road trip. Meanwhile, the team announced that Shea Weber (foot), Andrew Shaw (lower-body) and Ales Hemsky (concussion) will not travel with the team.

Ottawa Senators

According to TSN's Brent Wallace, forward Nate Thompson (lower-body) says he won't be in the lineup on Tuesday when the team plays the Pittsburgh Penguins. Head coach Guy Boucher says forward Gabriel Dumont is close and he is "hopeful" for a return on Thursday. Boucher is going to recall a player and go with 12 forwards and six defencemen. Wallace adds that Mike Condon is expected to get the start in net against the Penguins.


Edmonton Oilers

According to TSN's Ryan Rishaug, Andrej Sekera was not on the ice for the morning skate while Drake Caggiula skated with a full face mask, but didn't skate on a line. Both players were hit in the face with pucks last Friday against the Anaheim Ducks.

Pittsburgh Penguins

According to Michelle Crechiolo of Pens Inside Scoop, Patric Hornqvist (lower-body), Tom Kuhnhackl (lower-body) and Carter Rowney (lower-body) did not take part in this morning's practice.


Columbus Blue Jackets

The Athletic's Aaron Portzline reports that defenceman Ryan Murray (back) be with the team for their upcoming road trip, but Portzline is unsure if he'll be in the lineup. Winger Sonny Milano (torn oblique) is also travelling with the team, but says he's not ready, according to Portzline.


New Jersey Devils

Head coach John Hynes said on Sunday that starting goaltender Cory Schneider will not return this week as he continues to recover from a groin injury suffered on Jan. 23. Schneider hasn't skated in over a week.
