Ice Chips: Schlemko to make Habs' debut
David Schlemko will make his Habs debut Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators. Schlemko has missed the entire season to this point with a hand injury.

Calgary Flames
The team announced Wednesday forward Kris Versteeg has been placed on injured reserve and forward Garnet Hathaway has been recalled from their AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat.
Versteeg has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury. The 31-year-old has three goals and five assists in 22 games with the Flames this year, his second season in Calgary.
Hathaway has 11 goals and eight assists in 18 games for the Heat this season. The 26-year-old has 41 career games in the NHL, all with the Flames, recording one goal and seven assists.
Edmonton Oilers
Goalie Cam Talbot did not skate Wednesday as he continues to deal with an upper-body injury. If Talbot cannot play Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Oilers will have to recall a goalie from the AHL and either Anton Slepyshev or Jesse Puljujarvi will have to be sent down.

David Schlemko will make his Habs debut Wednesday against the Ottawa Senators. Schlemko has missed the entire season to this point with a hand injury. Victor Mete, who is expected to be a healthy scratch to make room for Schlemko, skated with Shea Weber, who is recovering from a lower-body injury, at the Canadiens' practice facility ahead of the game.
Mete has three assists in 24 games for Montreal this season, his first in the NHL after being drafted by the team in the fourth round in 2016.

Defenceman Jakob Chychrun is closing in on making his season debut for the team. Chychrun was assigned to the team's AHL affiliate Tucson Roadrunners for conditioning purposes, a big step in his recovery from a knee injury he suffered ahead of training camp this season. - Fox Sports
Chychrun's return to the Coyotes, when it happens, will be a big boost for the team. The 19-year-old is coming off a solid rookie season, recording seven goals and 13 assists in 68 games last year.
In other roster news, goalie Antti Raanta has been ruled out for the team's clash against the Calgary Flames Thursday. - 98.7 Arizona Sports
The 28-year-old has played 13 games for the Coyotes this season, his first in Arizona, recording a 4-5-2 record with .914 save percentage and 2.84 goals-against average.
Boston Bruins
The team will welcome back a trio of forwards Wednesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning: Brad Marchand, David Backes, and Ryan Spooner.
Marchand has been sidelined the past six games with an undisclosed injury. In 14 games for the Bruins this season, Marchand has eight goals and seven assists.
Backes has only played in five games for the Bruins this season, battling diverticulitis and recovering from a surgery that removed a portion of his colon.

Forward Joonas Donskoi left the Sharks' 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers in the second period Tuesday night with an undisclosed injury. - Associated Press
The severity of Donskoi's injury is not yet known but the Sharks don't play again until Friday against the Florida Panthers. The 25-year-old has seven goals and five assists in 23 games for the Sharks this season.
