The Cleveland Indians have signed outfielder Matt Joyce, the veteran announced on Friday.

"Really excited to announce I've agreed to sign with the Indians. Spring training starts in a week, this off-season flew by... Hope to see you at one of the games this season!" Joyce tweeted.

Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports it is a minor league deal.

Over 83 games last season for the Oakland Athletics, Joyce hit .208 with seven home runs and 15 RBI. The season before, Joyce had the best campaign of his career, hitting 25 homers and driving in 68.
