The Toronto Blue Jays have optioned starter Drew Hutchison to AAA Buffalo and recalled infielder Matt Hague.

With eight games over the next 10 days, the Blue Jays are able to take advantage of their off days to move to a four-man rotation.

Aaron Loup was sent to the Bisons following Sunday's game against the New York Yankees.

Hutchison has posted a 12-2 record with a 5.06 ERA in 24 starts during the 2015 campaign.

The 24-year-old has struggled on the road this season with a 9.00 ERA in the 11 starts that he's made away from Rogers Centre.

Hague will be making his Blue Jays debut, he has played in 33 MLB games with the Pittsburgh Pirates and has a .222 career batting average.  Defensively he has made all of his appearances at first base.

A corresponding roster move will be announced Tuesday to fill Hutchison’s spot on the roster.
