The Toronto Blue Jays have filled the spot on the active roster vacated by the demotion of Drew Hutchison by selecting the contract of Ezequiel Carrera from the Buffalo Bisons.

Carerra has appeared in 70 games this season with the Blue Jays and has posted a .279 average with three homers and 21 RBIs.

The 28-year-old played in 30 games this season with the Bisons and have a .276 average at the AAA level with one home run and 10 RBIs.

Carrera has also appeared with the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies during his five-year MLB career.
