NEW YORK, N.Y. - Jets kicker Nick Folk has a hip flexor injury and his status for New York's game at Minnesota on Sunday is uncertain.

The usually reliable Folk missed two field goals against Miami on Monday night, and had another kick barely clear the crossbar. Coach Rex Ryan was not sure when Folk was hurt in the Jets' 16-13 loss or whether the injury contributed to his bad night.

"After the game, he informed us that he was having some discomfort in his hip," Ryan said. "We'll have to monitor that throughout the week."

Folk came in with two missed field goals all season, but was wide left on a 48-yard attempt in the second quarter. His 45-yarder in the third quarter barely made it, and Folk ended up on the ground after some contact. He was then wide left again on another 45-yarder, which would have given the Jets the lead with 5:42 left.

Ryan also said wide receiver Greg Salas has a hamstring injury that "doesn't look good." Salas left the game right after scoring on a 20-yard end-around reverse for his first NFL touchdown that gave the Jets a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

"I think he's got a hamstring tear," Ryan said before backtracking. "I don't know if it's a tear, but he's got a hamstring. So, we'll see how it progresses, but that doesn't look good."

Defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson missed the game with turf toe, but Ryan said he was out of a walking boot Monday. It's uncertain if he'll be ready to play against the Vikings.

Rookie tight end Jace Amaro, who also sat out with a concussion, is still going through the NFL's protocol for head injuries. He needs to be cleared by doctors before he can practice again.
