New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Adam Jones and Steve Pearce, both of the Baltimore Orioles, have been named the American League's Co-Player of the Week for games played between June 30-July 6.

The teammates helped the Orioles to a 6-1 record this past week.

Jones batted .423 (11-for-26) with a double, two homers, five RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base, while Pearce batted .333 (10-for-30) with two doubles, three homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored and two steals.

This is both players' first career weekly honor.

Others considered for this week's honor were Rays outfielder Desmond Jennings and Angels starting pitcher Garrett Richards.
