Brandon Kozun will not be a Toronto Maple Leaf in 2015-16.

The forward has signed with Finnish-based club Jokerit, which plays in Russia's Kontinental Hockey League.

Jokerit confirmed the signing via the club's official Twitter account on Thursday.

The 25-year-old winger appeared in 20 games with the Maple Leafs in 2014-15, scoring two goals and two assists.

Originally drafted in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles-born winger made his pro debut with the Leafs last season. The Leafs acquired him from the Kings in Jan. 2014 in exchange for prospect Andrew Crescenzi.

Though born in the U.S. Kozun represents Canada internationally and won a silver medal with the 2010 Canadian World Junior team.

Kozun himself took to Twitter to thank his former club.
