EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Brandon Ingram has been placed in the NBA's concussion protocol after the Los Angeles Lakers' top swingman showed signs of an apparent concussion.

The Lakers announced the decision Saturday after Ingram was re-evaluated for an injury incurred Friday night.

Ingram played 27 minutes in the Lakers' overtime loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, but appeared to get hurt on a foul late in the fourth quarter. He played briefly in overtime before leaving with what was initially described as a bruised neck muscle.

Ingram had played in only two games since returning from a 12-game absence with a groin strain.

Ingram is second on the Lakers' roster with 16.1 points per game in his second NBA season.
