As he enters his second NBA season, LaMelo Ball will be getting his first signature sneaker from PUMA.

The PUMA MB.01 will be the first signature shoe the company has released since reopening their basketball division in 2018. The design features the outline of flames along the collar to represent Ball's famed rocket ankle tattoo. The shoe features a 3D-printed upper and is paired with the brand’s Nitro Foam midsole for responsiveness and comfort on the court.

“I am excited to officially launch my first signature basketball shoe with PUMA,” said Ball in a statement. “I love wearing bright colors, so I knew early on that the MB.01 had to have some showstopping colors and a cool design."

"I wanted a shoe that represents me but also is something that everyone wants to wear not only on court but off court, too. I think Puma really captured my vision… I can’t wait to wear them all season.”

The PUMA MB.01 will release in December for a retail price of US$125.
