The Toronto Maple Leafs signed defenceman Martin Marincin to a one-year contract on Thursday.

The Leafs acquired the 23-year-old from the Edmonton Oilers on June 27 in a deal for Brad Ross and a fourth-round draft pick.

Marincin has skated in 85 NHL contests for the Oilers and tallied one goal and 10 assists.

He played for Slovakia at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
