Allen Park, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson missed his second straight practice Thursday with an ankle injury he suffered Sunday against the Packers.

The star receiver is one of four Detroit players who haven't practiced this week as the Lions gear up to play the New York Jets.

Safety Don Carey (hamstring), linebacker Travis Lewis (quad) and cornerback Cassius Vaughn (ankle) have also sat out the last two days.

Lions coach Jim Caldwell said tight end Joseph Fauria missed practice Thursday with a twisted his ankle he suffered at home.
