ALLEN PARK, Mich. - The Detroit Lions have released tackle LaAdrian Waddle and put tight end Brandon Pettigrew on injured reserve.

The team announced the moves Tuesday. Detroit has also claimed centre Gabe Ikard off waivers from Cleveland, according to the NFL's transactions list.

Pettigrew tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in Sunday's loss to the St. Louis Rams.

The Lions also said they have signed tight end Bear Pascoe. They released cornerback Stanley Jean-Baptiste from the practice squad and signed defensive back Kendall James to the practice squad.

Waddle started 24 games in three seasons for Detroit, but he played in only one of the Lions' last four games before being released.
