Jeff Tedford is bringing in one of his former players, and one with NFL experience to boot. The BC Lions announced the signing of international receiver Lavelle Hawkins Tuesday.

After playing for Tedford collegiately at California, Hawkins spent five seasons with the Tennessee Titans, recording 71 receptions for 771 yards and a touchdown. 

“Lavelle is an elusive and talented receiver who brings significant experience to our team,” Tedford said in a team release. “He’s a gifted route-runner who will be able to take advantage of our larger field and I look forward to seeing how he will contribute to our offence.”
