Longtime Oakland Raiders kicker Sebastian Janikowski says he's retiring from the NFL after 19 seasons.

The 41-year-old Janikowski told his decision to ESPN, which was shared on Twitter by the Network's NFL insider Adam Schefter. According to Schefter, no kicker has ever made more money in the NFL than Janikowski.

Janikowski, who broke into the league during the 2000 season with the Oakland Raiders, is one of the only kickers in the history of the NFL to have been selected in the first round of an NFL draft. The Polish-born kicker went on to spend 18 seasons with the Raiders before signing with the Seattle Seahawks ahead of last season.

He finishes his career with 542 made field goals and a success rate of 80.4 per cent.
