CLEVELAND - Johnny Manziel's ex-girlfriend told police the Cleveland Browns quarterback hit her during an argument last weekend in Texas and said he appeared to be on drugs.

Fort Worth police released a report Thursday that provided the first details of the altercation Saturday night between Manziel and Colleen Crowley. Manziel is being investigated for a possible assault on Crowley.

She told police he was "aggressive" toward her after they were out with friends at the Zaza Hotel in Dallas. She said he struck her, including once in the left ear before they drove back to her Fort Worth apartment.

Crowley said she later fled her apartment in an attempt to get away from Manziel.

Later on Thursday, the Dallas Police Department released a statement indicating that their investigation had concluded and no charges would be filed.

"The Dallas Police Department has conducted the appropriate investigative follow-up to the report forwarded to us by the Ft. Worth Police Department regarding an alleged incident involving Johnny Manziel," the statement read. "Investigative efforts to date have not resulted in the filing of a criminal complaint and the incident is determined to be closed. No further statement is expected at this time."

While no charges will come from the Dallas PD, the Fort Worth investigation is ongoing.

The Browns released a statement Tuesday saying they were troubled by Manziel's "continual involvement in incidents." The team plans to release him in March.
