Miami, FL (SportsNetwork.com) -The Miami Marlins placed shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria on the 15-day disabled list due to a right triceps strain that has sidelined him for the team's past four games.

The move is retroactive to June 21.

Part of the blockbuster 12-player trade with Toronto that sent Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson to the Blue Jays in November of 2012, Hechavarria had started 72 of Miami's first 73 games at shortstop this season. The 25-year-old Cuban is batting .272 with 17 RBI in his second full major league campaign.

Ed Lucas has taken Hechavarria's place at shortstop for the Marlins' last four contests.

Infielder Donovan Solano was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans in a corresponding move. The 26-year-old hit just .196 in 35 games with Miami before being optioned to the minors on June 16.
