Vancouver Canucks general manager Jim Benning confirmed that goaltender Ryan Miller will miss the next four to six weeks with a lower-body injury on Wednesday.

Miller suffered the injury Sunday night against the New York Islanders when teammate Jannik Hansen crashed into him.

The 34-year-old went for an MRI Monday in Vancouver.

Miller, who signed a three-year contract with the Canucks in the off-season, has a 28-15-1 record this season with a 2.47 goals against average and a 0.913 save percentage.

Eddie Lack will now be the man between the pipes for the foreseeable future as he picked up a 2-1 victory over the Bruins in Boston Tuesday night. Jacob Markstrom has also been called up from the American Hockey League to help fill the void.
